This week we took over 85 students to the AIDS expo here in Cochabamba. The students learnt about AIDS, how it is affecting Bolivia and more generally about the types of changes all adolescents experience. They were given worksheets and had to use their time at the expo to find the answers, or at least start forming opinions on some of the complex themes. Their work remained anonymous given how delicate some of the themes remain here in Bolivia and will be used by the school psychologist to discuss issues in review classes. The expo was very well organized, informative and fun, we were very grateful that our students were able to take part.
